Barbara Apartments

A digital postcard from the island of Susak.

This website was created for Barbara Apartments, a small, family-run apartment rental and traditional tavern located on the remote Croatian island of Susak — a car-free oasis known for its sandy paths, pastel houses, and slow island rhythm where time seems to pause.

The project’s goal was to preserve the rustic charm and simplicity of Susak, making it easy for travelers to explore accommodation options and plan their stay, while reflecting the unique spirit of the island. Working with very limited visuals and resources, I focused on clarity, accessibility, and a warm, personal tone that invites visitors into the Susak experience.

I designed and built the website using WordPress and Elementor, writing all the content in a friendly and welcoming voice. The result is a lightweight, fully responsive website that mirrors Susak’s essence: calm, quiet, and unpretentious.
